Healing Period and What to Expect

✧ The healing period is expected to take approximately 7-14 days. The duration may vary due to skin type and lifestyle.

✧ It is normal to feel slight pain post-procedure.  As the numbing wears off, feel free to use Tylenol or buprofen to help mitigate the pain.

✧ It is normal to have swelling or redness after your initial appointment that may last 1-2 days.  This is dependant on your skin and how sensitive it is.

✧ There may be a tight sensation near or on your brows while they are healing.  Remember to relax your face and brow muscles to reduce the tension.

✧ Brows will look darker for the first few days but will fade slightly during the healing period.  It is important not to panic and remember that they are still healing.  Do not use makeup to fill in the colour while the brows are healing as this may lead to infection.

✧ Once the scabbing has stopped you may notice the brow colour has reduced by 30-60%. This is normal during the healing process.  Brows will regain colour while they are healing until they are fully healed.

✧ Crusting or flaking of the skin may occur during the healing process. This is normal as your skin is healing.  Once fully healed any crusting or flaking will disappear.

✧ All semi-permanent make-up procedures are a two-step process. The touch-up is crucial to the longevity of your brows. This service helps to redefine your shape and colour after your initial procedure has healed. This service also provides the opportunity to make slight adjustments to your initial shape and colour.
